Dickson $140 dollars Confederate money.;; Special order # 32 Adjutant and Inspector General`s Office, for C.S.A. surgeon W.M. Lawrence, February 7, 1863,;; The original orders envelope with confederate post and string ties.;; 1846 letter from father to daughter H. Neill in a small period box;; First Diary dated 1860-Diary of Mrs. Delia Neill, 24 May 1865 troops in the East have surrendered, Smith is still in arms, President Davis is said to be in Texas, the Feds say he is a prisoner, May 21, 1865 Feds occupy Batesville, May 3rd 1865 Batesville receives news from northern papers of Lincolns death, Dec 26th, 1863 there are 4,000 feds in Batesville I wonder if they will be allowed to stay, feds were shooting cannons Dr. Dickson went to check, Dec 28, 1863 the feds say they have killed the 100 of Hendersons men, the feds killed Cyruss Pede when they came into town, the Negros are doing just as they please, Friday Jan 8, 1864 feds come to house and search for guns, Sunday Jan. 10, 1864 heard Shelby was not far from Batesville, Ark. Diary begins in 1863 and continues through the war with war content on just about every page from Batesville, Arkansas. Second Diary 1858-1862 with Civil War Content and tells of brother being killed by feds. Photographs Ambrotype images in case.
